Help Us Empower the Next Million

This is the year we make history—Junior Achievement of Greater New Orleans will reach our 1 millionth student! But this milestone is more than a celebration of our past. It’s a call to action for our future. Every $50 equips one child with a full semester of financial-literacy programming.

Who Will the Millionth Student Be?

As we approach our 1 millionth student, we’ll be searching for the one who marks this historic moment. Maybe a future engineer from JA BizTown, a high school innovator in the Trust Your Crazy Ideas Challenge, or a young trailblazer from Future Connect? Follow along for updates, events, and ways to celebrate with us!

“One million is more than a milestone; it’s a movement. Together, we can ensure that JA remains a powerful force for economic empowerment for years to come. ”

You’re One in a Million

"JA taught me how to pitch myself and my ideas, whether it's creating a professional pitch deck or reaching out to others for support. As long as you're passionate, others will see that." — Kelly Y., JA Alumna, USC graduate, filmmaker, and freelance producer for clients like Google, Glamour, and NPR Youth Radio, with her short film Plum Town winning the Grand Jury Award at Independent Film Festival Boston.

“[JA BizTown] taught us life lessons and gave us a glimpse of how the future may happen. This also has taught us what it takes to operate a quality business. For example, during my experience, I realized that organization is key…we left with tons of knowledge that we can use for future jobs.” –Ah’sha V., JA Student, Dularge Elementary School

“I learned how to bank responsibly and how to save money for things I want. This helps me because now I know not to spend my money on worthless things and save up for things that are important.” –Blakely L., JA Student, Caldwell Middle School
